After happily raising my family, life took an unexpected turn which led me to seek support. Advice and opinions were everywhere, that was not what I needed at the time. I wanted to work things out for myself, but not alone.
Finding the right counsellor enabled me to work through my difficulties without feeling judged. The impact of being honest and not concerned for the other person's feelings was fundamental in my healing and moving forward. This interest in the value of counselling led me to attend an 'Introduction to Counselling course' in 1999.
